It is finally time to talk about my plans I have for 2017!
If it interests you, feel free to read this blogpost. If you’re here for a character specific blogpost, why not read the last one I posted? Just click here.
Warning: There will be a lot of text! If you don’t want to read everything, you could just take a look at the pictures if you want to! 🙂
Let’s start with the fixed plans: the conventions I’m visiting including the costumes I will wear that time. I only have two conventions I’ll be going to 100% this year and one “maybe-convention”. These will be the following ones:
May 20th; Düsseldorf, Germany
I haven’t been to the Japanday in costume the last few years, so I decided to try it out again. I will probably wear the Yukata Hikari Yagami wears in Digimon Adventure Tri together with a friends as Sora Takenouchi. Although I won’t sew a new Yukata! I will wear the one I bought in Japan which looks similar to the one she wears in the movie.
June 3rd & 4th; Düsseldorf, Germany
If I can get it done, I want to wear Ladybug (Miraculous) on saturday with a friend as Chat Noir, a miraculous-inspired Ballgown for the cosplay-prom and Tharja with a gigantic Fire Emblem Awakening/Fates group on sunday.
I am thinking about visiting the Connichi in Kassel, Germany, which takes place from september 22nd to 24th. I am allowed to sleep over at a friend’s place, but I cannot say for sure if I will attend the convention. I’m not sure if I have enough time or money at that time yet. I am also not sure which costumes I should wear.
Hey there! The new year has finally started and I hope you had an awesome start into 2017!
New year, new luck! … as I like to say. Normally, to have new luck, you are thinking about the past year(s) and try to think of new and better ways to survive the upcoming one. And what is a good way to do so? Exactly, New Year’s Resolutions!
Although I did not post resolutions for 2016, I really want to start doing so. I love cosplaying and sewing, so why not make a list only for cosplay-related resolutions?
The first things I want to mention do seem to be not related to cosplay at all. But they are, more or less, because it affects my time for working on costumes.
So 2017 is THE year! I will graduate from university in summer and I still need to write my bachelor thesis, so I obviously cannot work on costumes as much as I want. Too bad… But I really need to get this done properly. After graduating I want to find a good job and save up some money for a few things, including a new and better sewing machine and a nice camera. And I hope I can somehow accomplish that.

I also want to start going to the fitness center, at least once a week, to get in shape. Yes, this is a very crucial resolution! If I want to shoot a lot of things and especially wear Ladybug in spring or summer this year, I need to be ready. And I want to do that. For that purpose I even created the hashtag #roadtomiraculous, to motivate myself!
And now… moving on to directly cosplay – related resolutions.
Hey guys! ❤
After some time I have a few announcements and updates I wanted to share with you.
This might be a longer blogpost, but if you’re interested, please follow along or just read the text underneath each point you want to know more about!
First of all I will change the layout of this blog as soon as I have the time to do so. I want to give it a nice and unique touch and edit some pictures for that and I will probably also change the template (again). I hope it will look good and you like it! You’ll get a new update blogpost if I’m finished happy with the outcome.
Next will be my trip to Japan. I’m going to visit Tokyo for 3 weeks at the end of august and as you might know this requires a lot money, which won’t go into cosplay. And because of this expensive vacation I won’t have the money, nor the time, to do a lot more costumes. There are a few more planned, which I will tell you later on in this post, but it will probably take longer. I want to spend more time into sewing and making costumes to get better quality. I hope this somehow works out! 😀

Talking about some more cosplay related things again. As you might have noticed: I’m very slow when it comes to explaining progress in a very detailed way. Sometimes it’s very hard since English is not my native language! I’m always doing my best, though. Including my every day life, sewing cosplays, going to university and studying … there is not that much time for this blog. If you don’t want to wait that long or don’t want to read detailed explanations, feel free to check out my twitter and instagram profile. These are more frequently updated.
