Long time no read!
Sorry for the lack of posting or editing anything on my blog these last months.
Right now I’m in the middle of graduating from university. In less than 2 months from now on I need to pass one oral test as well as 2 exams. I also need to finish my bachelor’s thesis. Hopefully I get everything done and accomplished!
If everything goes according to plan I will be one week in denmark at the beginning of september and I will have a lot more time to get my blog updated and work on costumes afterwards (at least as long as I don’t have a job yet).
Also the “Connichi” is coming up in the middle of september and I plan on attending this German convention! ❤
So what are my upcoming plans for this blog?
I will mostly keep on doing the same thing as I am doing right now. This means I will finish the blogposts for already started costume projects and write about the “new” ones (which are already finished cosplays).
Also, there are some more interesting plans for the next year! I really would like to test my skills again at the DCM (German Cosplay Championship – “Deutsche Cosplay Meisterschaft”) in 2018 and I thought about the big cosplays I’d like to do for this contest and in general. I am planning on doing Sheeta from Laputa – Castle in the Sky (I already started with the first little thing), Azura in her Nohr dress from Fire Emblem: Fates, Kazemon/Fairymon from Digimon Frontier (4th season) and maybe even Hikari Yagami in her standard and winter version from Digimon 02!
A lot of Digimon is ahead… as well as some nostalgic and interesting characters!
Last but not least I found awesome friends in my direct neighbourhood who also cosplay. Both of them also want to work on videos (cmvs, parodies, etc.) and we are brainstorming for a few things. I want to be more active on YouTube in general, so that would be an awesome opportunity to work with them together!
What do you think? Aren’t these some awesome news!
Thank you for waiting so long. More updates are coming very soon!
Thank you for reading!
Guess what? We had a #Digifection Cosplay Photoshooting on the weekend of the 18th and 19th of march and I got the chance to take some videos for a behind the scenes video, just like the last one (althought this time I have more actual material). You can check it out here:
Here is again a link (click) if it somehow doesn’t work.
Our Sora also made a Tumblr just for our group. Check it out here: Digifection.
I want to add some finished and edited pictures into the real behind the scenes video, so it will at least take as long as the pictures take. After that I need to edit the video, so maybe in a month or two I will have the final version ready. You’ll get notified here (or you can just subscribe to my YouTube Channel, there is a lot more cosplay content going to come very soon. Hohoho).
I will also write a bit more about my experience and our activities of this weekend in the blogpost for the full video.
See you next time and thank you for watching.
It is finally time to talk about my plans I have for 2017!
If it interests you, feel free to read this blogpost. If you’re here for a character specific blogpost, why not read the last one I posted? Just click here.
Warning: There will be a lot of text! If you don’t want to read everything, you could just take a look at the pictures if you want to! 🙂
Let’s start with the fixed plans: the conventions I’m visiting including the costumes I will wear that time. I only have two conventions I’ll be going to 100% this year and one “maybe-convention”. These will be the following ones:
May 20th; Düsseldorf, Germany
I haven’t been to the Japanday in costume the last few years, so I decided to try it out again. I will probably wear the Yukata Hikari Yagami wears in Digimon Adventure Tri together with a friends as Sora Takenouchi. Although I won’t sew a new Yukata! I will wear the one I bought in Japan which looks similar to the one she wears in the movie.
June 3rd & 4th; Düsseldorf, Germany
If I can get it done, I want to wear Ladybug (Miraculous) on saturday with a friend as Chat Noir, a miraculous-inspired Ballgown for the cosplay-prom and Tharja with a gigantic Fire Emblem Awakening/Fates group on sunday.
I am thinking about visiting the Connichi in Kassel, Germany, which takes place from september 22nd to 24th. I am allowed to sleep over at a friend’s place, but I cannot say for sure if I will attend the convention. I’m not sure if I have enough time or money at that time yet. I am also not sure which costumes I should wear.
Hey there! The new year has finally started and I hope you had an awesome start into 2017!
New year, new luck! … as I like to say. Normally, to have new luck, you are thinking about the past year(s) and try to think of new and better ways to survive the upcoming one. And what is a good way to do so? Exactly, New Year’s Resolutions!
Although I did not post resolutions for 2016, I really want to start doing so. I love cosplaying and sewing, so why not make a list only for cosplay-related resolutions?
The first things I want to mention do seem to be not related to cosplay at all. But they are, more or less, because it affects my time for working on costumes.
So 2017 is THE year! I will graduate from university in summer and I still need to write my bachelor thesis, so I obviously cannot work on costumes as much as I want. Too bad… But I really need to get this done properly. After graduating I want to find a good job and save up some money for a few things, including a new and better sewing machine and a nice camera. And I hope I can somehow accomplish that.

I also want to start going to the fitness center, at least once a week, to get in shape. Yes, this is a very crucial resolution! If I want to shoot a lot of things and especially wear Ladybug in spring or summer this year, I need to be ready. And I want to do that. For that purpose I even created the hashtag #roadtomiraculous, to motivate myself!
And now… moving on to directly cosplay – related resolutions.
